6th Grade Graduation

We did it! Austin has graduated Elementary School! They had such a fun graduation ceremony. There were a few kids that spoke, a few musical numbers, and then they did a slide show of pictures from the year. I cried a little even though I promised Austin I wouldn't do anything embarrassing. After the ceremony the students and teachers got to have a "Fancy lunch" together. It was set up in the library so cute. He went to school with a great group of kids, and he really liked his teacher, Mr. Thompson. Congratulations Austin, you make us proud!:)

Hope of America

I know I brag about my kids a lot, but this is my blog, what else am I supposed to write? I seriously have the best son any mother could ever ask for. This year Austin was presented with the "Hope of America" Award. They only give this to four students a year. One boy and one girl from each 6th grade class. I think that the teacher nominates the students. It is presented by the Kiwanis Internationals club. A plaque with his name on it will forever be hanging in Aspen Elementary. The award reads

"HOPE OF AMERICA AWARD
Presented with honor to
Austin Perry
Who has demonstrated during this school year capacity for
leadership, ethical and moral character and outstanding
academic accomplishment."

My little Gymnast

I am so proud of my little girl. She totally rocked her gymnastics recital! At the beginning they did a group routine. Then each girl got to do several solo parts. She was grinning ear to ear, loved performing! When we got home I asked her what her favorite part about the recital was. She said it was the trophy, which she slept with that night!
