Fun Family Day!

Yesterday was a really fun, busy day for us. In the morning we went to the Lehi Parade. The kids loved it! There was a lot of candy. Asher slept through a lot of it. My little sister,JaCee, was in the parade for being an attendant to the Miss Lehi outstanding teen.
After the parade we went to the carnival.

After Mike, Asher, and I could not stand the carnival any longer we went out to lunch and then to the movies. It was a really busy day, but very nice to spend it together.

Happy Father's Day!

Today has been a pretty good Father's Day so far. I made Mike a big breakfast this morning and then he helped me do the dishes. That is just the kind of Dad he is. He is always there to help and be involved. He doesn't like to miss out on a single thing that our kids are doing. He has a very special relationship with each of our kids. Mike is such a good Dad, I am so glad our kids have him.

I also want to talk about my Dad, although he would never read this blog. (computers are not really his thing) My Dad was always a really good Dad to me. We were best buddies when I was a little girl. He has always been a good example to me. He is a honest, hard working, good person. I love him very much, Happy Father's Day!

This picture was taken a couple of weeks ago at JaCee's Miss Lehi Outstanding teen pageant.

Six months old

What a blessing Asher has been in all of our lives. This is what he is up to at 6 months old.

  • He smiles all the time.

  • He can sit up and wave bye-bye.

  • He puts everything in his mouth, and if he can't fit it in his mouth, he just licks it.

  • He eats rice cereal, sweet potatoes, apple sauce and crackers. (he makes a bug mess with crackers)

  • He still does not sleep through the night, but he only wakes once to be fed, then goes back to sleep, so it's not so bad.

  • We still can not tell if his eyes are going to be blue or brown. They seem to change daily. I'm rooting for brown, Mike is rooting for blue.

  • Sometimes he is cuddly, but mostly he wants to play.

  • He always arches his back to get down, but he is not sure what to do when he gets there.

  • He loves his big brother and sister. He watches them very carefully and they can make him laugh better than anyone.

  • He loves to go for walks in the stroller, sometimes we take him for a walk just to get him to sleep.

    Goin' to the Dentist

Today the kids got to go to the Dentist for their 6 month check up. They have a really good Dentist and look forward to going. Both kids checked out good with no cavities. He said soon McCall will start to get her 6 year molars, and Austin will start to get his 12 year molars. I was thinking this is going to be fun...All three of my kids are going to be teething at the same time.

My wheels were just to fast

Oh dear! We had another McCall incident. Saturday night Austin and I went on a bike ride. When we got back Austin wanted his dad to go with him. (We were taking turns staying home with the baby.) Well McCall wanted to go with them on her scooter. I begged her to stay with me, I didn't have a good feeling about it. But she insisted on going. She took off with the boys, practically flying down the sidewalk. Not 3 minutes later Austin comes in the house and told me that McCall just fell and hurt her head. I ran down the street and found her and Mike walking back to the house. When she saw me she started crying really hard and said "my wheels were just to fast." She scraped half of her face really bad, I don't know what to do for it. This is a picture I took of her this morning, you can see how bad it is. : - ( My poor baby!

I thought girls were supposed to stay at home playing house and playing dress up and barbies. McCall likes that stuff, but she also likes all the boy stuff too.

If you noticed the moon boots, just remember she dressed herself!

    Dance festival

I love the dance festival at school! I'll never forget in the 5th grade when my class did a dance to "eye of the tiger" Austin does not feel the same way about it. He has been begging every year since KINDERGARTEN to let him miss that day of school. But I always make him go because I enjoy it and also because elementary school goes by so fast and I don't want my kids to miss out on a single memory. Austin's 5th grade class did a 90's dance to "you can't touch this" by MC Hammer. It was fun (for me) and brought back a lot of fun memories from the 90's. He is the one in the white shirt and light blue Boozer hat.

McCall's Kindergarten class did the hokey pokey, she got right into it! She is the one in the dark peach shirt.

I took Asher with me and he really liked all the music and kids. I was trying to keep him out of the sun and he wanted to be standing on my lap dancing and bouncing. Man, when that kid walks I am not going to be able to keep up with him.

Kindergarten class of 2009 presents...Giant John

McCall was in Kindergarten school play called Giant John. She played the Queen. (very appropriate for her) It was so cute, I cried. All the kids did so good, I was totally impressed. They were all loud enough to hear and they all remembered their lines. They have the cutest class, and teacher. Good job Mickey, you are quite the little actress! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Po8SrIY3wYk
