Evel Knievel
On Saturday May 9th McCall tried a little stunt. I heard a cry coming from the back yard and thought to myself " Here we go again, Austin made her cry." To my surprise Austin was helping her get to me. She only cried for a bit, then I asked what happened. She proceeded to tell me that she rode a small skateboard down the slide! The skateboard hit her in the eye. I started laughing and so did she. She is O.K.. Here are the damages.....Mike.

Happy Mother's Day!

Today turned out to be a pretty good Mother's Day. Every year the only thing I ask for is a day without the kids fighting. This year they set an all time record! They did not fight until 7:33 p.m. It was amazing. But now they are making up for lost time. I love this picture of them, it looks like they like each other. I love being a mom, it is the best! They are so cute, it makes it all worth it.

A tribute to my mom....I remember when I was in brownies, my mom was my leader. She was so fun! She taught us some really fun songs that I still remember to this day. When I was a teenager she was still singing those songs and it wasn't so cute.
She is an amazing mom. She would do anything for me and my family. She is a really good grandmother to my kids. I am so glad they have her. Every child deserves to have a wonderful grandmother. Happy Mother's Day mom, I love you!

Twitchy

McCall was in a school play the other night called Hansel and Grettle. She was an elf named Twitchy. It was so cute! She actually remembered all of her lines. She really played her part up, it was so funny! We were so proud of her.

It's a girl thing...

Today I got a free sample in the mail of a Kotex product. McCall saw the box and opened it. She asked "What's this?"
I said "It's a girl thing."
She said "Well I'm a girl."
Oh Crap! That line always worked on Austin! Am I really ready to have a girl???

Happy Birthday McCall!

I can't believe that my little girl is 6 years old! McCall is our miracle child. First of all we never should have had a girl. In Mike's family they have all boys, his brother's have almost all boys, he has mostly all boy cousins, and they have all mostly boys! So during the sonogram the doctor told us he was about 60% sure it was a girl. We thought that it couldn't possibly be true. Well when she was born it was obviously a girl and had the most amazing blue eyes I thought for sure they would go brown. I have brown eyes and Mike has blue. Brown are so dominant that I thought I would never have a blue eyed child.
McCall is such a fun little girl to raise. We could be out in the middle of the desert (which we have before) and she could find something fun to do. She also knows how to push me out of my comfort zone, which I need. She is so out going and I am not, so when I am with her, it forces me to be. Every day with her is defiantly an adventure!
Today is also McCall's Great Grandpa Pratt's Birthday, I think he had a hand in sending us a blue eyed girl on his birthday!
We love you Mickey, you are our little angel girl. Happy Birthday!
